Your strength in heart and hand will fall. . . .
Ellie knows that the darkest moments are still to come, and she has everything to fight for:
She must fight for Will.
The demonic have resorted to their cruelest weapons to put Will in mortal danger, and Ellie makes an unlikely alliance to save him and to stop Lilith and Sammael, who seek to drown the world in blood and tear a hole into Heaven.
She must fight for humanity.
As the armies of Hell rise and gather for the looming End of Days, Ellie and her band of allies travel to the world’s darkest and most ancient regions in her quest to come into her full glory as the archangel Gabriel.
And Ellie must save herself.
Her humanity withers beneath the weight of her cold archangel power, but Ellie must hold tight to who she is and who she loves as she prepares for the ultimate battle for Heaven and Earth.
In this final installment in the Angelfire trilogy, Courtney Allison Moulton brings her dark world of epic battles and blistering romance to a blazing bright conclusion.
My Thoughts:
I love this series so much and knowing that this book is the
last, make me sad. I adore Courtney
Moulton. Her ability to make the readers feel attach to her characters is astonishing.
Again, this book surpasses my expectation. -A grand remarkable conclusion
indeed.
The story took place where Wings of the Wicked had
left. A war has erupted and the legions
of hell are there to destroy the world, leaving Ellie a huge responsibility. She
must save Will, and that means she needs Cadan’s help. Together, they find a cure to save Will from
his impending death. Will Ellie be able to save her ever loyal guardian? Will
she able to save humanity as well? Read this book to find out.
The world-building is unbelievable. The reason why I love
this series is the world Courtney created. I love being immersed in a world
where Angels and Devils exist. I like the gothic, dark and pulsating theme. It
is like no other. How she describes the fight scenes, always leaves me in
awe. I savored every pages of this book.
There were no monotonous moments. Everything is energetic mixed with some
comical scenes that will make you smile and increased your heart rate.
The characters became more mature in this book. We get to
know them so much better. It’s like a puzzle where you get to have all the
pieces together. You get to know them wholly. Also, every emotion were felt
which made them connectable and believable. In this book, Cadan became my
favorite character. Until now, I’m still caught between Will and Cadan. Both
boys are different but lovable at the same time. But Cadan became my ultimate choice
here. I admire his courage to defy his father. How he choose his heart over his
mind and for being selfless. Yep, I want him so bad. My second favorite is
Ellie. She matured so much in this book. She’s tougher, strong-minded and goal
oriented. Lastly, the ever devoted Will never fails to give me a tooth ache. He’s
sweet, intelligent and spirited. Those
trio is unquestionably memorable. I will miss them
The love-angle is great! Who will Ellie choose? I must say,
there are lots of heartwarming and knee melting experiences in the book. The
Cadan moments and Will episodes will make every girl die happily.
Overall, this book is a marvelous conclusion to the series. I am in need of another book from this author.
I give this 5 blazing Whales.
Ooh, I'll have to read this series! I've never heard of it, but after reading the review for this last one, I know it'll be good :) Great review! Thanks for making me add another couple books on my TBR pile ;)

Oh, this one sounds absolutely wonderful and I've been hearing nothing but great things. I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to read it sooner, but I'll definitely try to fix that as soon as I can. The worldbuilding especially sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat review.
I am so glad you loved this series! I've only read the first book, but it's one of my all time favorites. I don't know how time got away from me and kept me from reading the second and third books, but I'll definitely be catching up soon!

I read the fist in this series and actually really disliked it. Don't hate me! But the protagonist was too shallow for me to like her. You said they mature in this book, which makes me almost want to give it a chance. I don't know if I can wait that long for character development though. Glad you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to read this for a long long time.
ReplyDeleteAw, so many series end this year! I'm glad this one finished in a way that satisfied you. :) I've only read the first one myself.
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, blaaaazing whales. I picture FIRE coming out of their spouts.

I haven't read this series, but I'm so happy to hear you loved the way things turned out, Dannielle. It's bittersweet to say goodbye to a series you love. I'm wondering who she chose: Will or Caden? Wonderful review! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been putting off reading this because I don't want it to be over! It seems like most people are pretty happy with the ending, so I don't think I have anything to worry about.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your review, I'm not sure I can put this off much longer—I want to get to those heartwarming and knee-melting moments (especially the Will ones!). Awesome review! :-)
