My Thoughts:

I was drawn to this book because of the cool cover!  Who wouldn’t double take on this appealing guy with dark wings and sculpted body?  I was instantly hypnotized! This book is full of testosterones. Beware to drool over hot “Angles and Demons”

The story is about a girl named Sam, a very ordinary girl who turned extraordinary because of a kiss; that icy kiss, making her hungry for something else.  Then a boy named Bishop, whom she had met, might be the only one who could help her. They need each other. Her sight and his sanity.What makes her so special? Why are they drawn to each other? You have to pick up this book to find out.

The world building amazes me. Michelle’s new take on the supernatural, made my mouth open wide. It was really good and flawlessly written. I was absolutely lured inside her world. The idea that souls are the ones that keep Heaven and Hell on balance amazes me.  I love her creativity! I won’t be surprise if this book was turned into a movie. It was very cinematic. Dark Kiss is adrenaline packed. It was a rollercoaster ride. There were loads of surprises and twists that left me, stunned, shocked and blown away. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down.

As for the characters, they were unforgettable and well developed. I connected to them easily. Each of them is unique and colorful. Sam is the heroine here. I admire her courage and love for her friends. She’s like the mother hen of the bunch. She is always concern to her friend’s well being. As for the hotties, the boys will make you “GAGA” while reading this book. Each of them is unique and drool-worthy. Let me introduce them.  Bishop is described as a boy with mahogany colored hair, matched with cobalt blue eyes.  I love how he protects Sam from what’s out there. Second is Kraven, light brown hair with amber colored eyes.  His character gave spice to the book. I love His fiery attitude and comical dialogues. There is something about him that lures you in. Third is Zach, flaming red hair with green colored eyes. His calming personality and ability to heal makes him one of my favorite characters. I shall leave the others for your own thoughts to discover. You just have to read this book to find out more.

Lastly, the love angle is okay with me. It was like Goldilocks’ last porridge “It is just right.” The blossoming relationship is enough to keep the readers glued to the book. It was a bit fast but enough to give butterflies in your stomach.

Overall, this book is an excellent read. I recommend it to supernatural lovers. This book has the perfect blend of action, mystery and romance. I can’t wait for the second book.
