Temptation by Karen Ann Hopkins
Book Description:
Your heart misleads you.
That's what my friends and family say. But I love Noah.
And he loves me.
We met and fell in love in the sleepy farming community of Meadowview, while we rode our horses together through the grassy fields and in those moments in each other's arms.
It should be
ROSE & NOAH
forever, easy.
But it won't be.
Because he's Amish.
And I'm not.

Interview
Give us 3 interesting
facts about you (Be Creative)
1. I’ve coached many 4H
horse club Tennessee teams to state, regional and national championships in
horse judging, horse bowl and hippology.
2. I enjoy a fast gallop
across mowed hayfields several times a week.
3. As a teenager I
hitch-hiked across Florida with a friend of mine (shhh, don’t tell my mom that
one J)
Current book/s you have
on your shelf?
George R. R. Martin’s A Dance With Dragons. It’s a big book and I
can’t seem to find the time to finish it.
Favorite scene to write?
In Temptation, my favorite scene to write was also the most
emotional for me. It was Noah’s buggy
accident scene. I felt like I was right
there with his horse, Rumor, and being a horse lover/owner myself, it was
difficult to visualize, yet the words came easily.
Favorite Starbucks
Drink?
I don’t drink any kind of coffee whatsoever, but whenever I end up
at a Starbucks (usually when traveling with friends) I always get a hot
chocolate.
Any advice to aspiring
writers?
You have to have the three P’s going on: Passion, Persistence and
Patience!
Also, it’s very, very important to be open to other people’s
critique of your work and be willing to make changes when advised by the
professionals. You have to have
rhino-hide in this business, but everyone I’ve dealt with has been generous and
helpful throughout the process. Early on
there were many agents who rejected the manuscript, yet gave me suggestions,
which eventually improved the work. If
I’d been stubborn, TEMPTATION would never have been published. I treated criticism as a learning process and
was guided to create the best book possible to showcase
Rose and Noah’s love affair.
"Thank you Karen for your time"
